Characteristics
A fine antique Victorian games table crafted in walnut and satinwood, dating to circa 1880. The rectangular top features an inlaid chequerboard games board, framed with broad boxwood, ideal for chess, checkers, or draughts. Its simple fore edge and frieze highlight the elegance of late 19th-century design. The table stands on beautifully bobbin turned legs and stretcher. Would make a lovely side table in a drawing room, sitting room, bedroom, library etc. In lovely, sturdy condition, with a wonderful rich patina throughout.
