At Summerfield + Scott, we bring together restored and reimagined furniture, traditional rush work, hand-crafted ceramics, and curated art.
Our focus is on thoughtful design, enduring craftsmanship, and pieces that are timeless, individual, and made to last.

Reviving the ordinary and the extraordinary.
What began as a simple idea in 2021 has grown into a busy workshop (open by appointment – please come and see us!) in rural Northamptonshire. We source furniture that is both attractive and functional, improving pieces through traditional restoration or careful reinvention. Most of our work is completed in-house, with guidance from Anthony Beech, ACR — a master conservator with over 30 years’ experience. Anthony and his team ensure that more complex pieces are restored with precision and respect for their original craftsmanship.
We have trained with leading restorers and master craftspeople across the UK, including the Chippendale International School of Furniture and the Marchmont Workshop in Scotland, specialising in rush seating. Through our recently launched Rush Project, we aim to preserve woven rush in antique restoration while giving it new relevance in contemporary design. By developing traditional skills and working in harmony with our local environment, we ensure this unique craft has a future as meaningful as its past — applying rush in both restoration projects and inventive, modern contexts.
Our prints, art and ceramics
Alongside our furniture, Summerfield + Scott is home to a growing collection of Original Prints and Decorative Works on Paper, sourced from a variety of periods, artistic styles, and genres. Like our furniture and decorative objects, these pieces are selected for their ability to enhance a wide range of interior styles — from the classical to the contemporary. Our focus is on fine art prints — original works released by artists in limited editions — as well as decorative works on paper that bring depth, texture, and individuality to any space. The collection is curated by Charlie, who spent over a decade as a Specialist at Christie’s, London, where he oversaw prints and multiples spanning five centuries, from Old Masters such as Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt and Piranesi to Modern and Contemporary masters including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Banksy and Bridget Riley. His curatorial approach — pairing historic and modern works — continues to inform the balance we seek across all our collections.
New for AW 2025, we are proud to present a collection of hand-crafted ceramics from a family-run studio in Provence. Having collaborated with this workshop on private projects for many years, we are now delighted to introduce a curated selection of their work, sharing the same values as our restored antiques — tradition, authenticity, and longevity.
We work with a wide range of clients — from international interior designers to local private customers — helping them bring old and new together in interiors that feel layered, personal, and timeless.
