Characteristics

A compact stool with a solid hardwood frame and hand-woven rush seat.

Made in our Northamptonshire workshop, the stool combines a simple timber frame with a traditionally woven rush top, using rush harvested and prepared by hand. The woven seat provides a comfortable and durable surface that will develop character through use.

Inspired by traditional milking stools, its modest size makes it a versatile addition, useful by a bath, as a child's seat, as a footstool or a bedside table 

Each stool is made individually, and variations in timber grain, colour, and rush weave are an inherent part of its character.
