The Rush Slipper Chair

Characteristics

A low, generously proportioned rush chair, handmade in chestnut and traditionally woven with English rush. Designed as an occasional chair for bedrooms, firesides and informal living spaces.

The original 1970s frame has been restored and finished with linseed oil, the drop-in seat pad and back panel are made using locally harvested rush, prepared and woven by hand in our Northamptonshire workshop.

Each chair is individually finished, and variations in timber grain, colour, and rush are an inherent part of its character.

Lead time

4 weeks for individual or small orders, 8 weeks for orders of six chairs or more. Please get in touch should you have any urgent requirements and we will accomodate what we can.
