Characteristics
Pair of 1930s Glass and Gilded Cherub Table Lamps
Circa 1930s
A charming and highly decorative pair of early 20th-century table lamps featuring gilded cherub figures supporting elegant cut glass columns and matching glass drip pans. Rich in romantic classical influence, the lamps combine sculptural detail with the glamour and refinement associated with 1930s decorative lighting.
Each lamp is formed with a pair of cherubs seated at the base, cast in a warm gilt finish and supporting a faceted clear glass stem that rises to a shaped glass saucer beneath the bulb holder. The combination of transparent cut glass and gilded detailing creates an attractive contrast, allowing the lamps to catch and reflect light beautifully.
Compact yet visually striking, the pair would work particularly well as bedside lamps, boudoir lighting, or decorative accent pieces within both traditional and eclectic interiors.
Sold without lampshades.
