A captivating contemporary landscape painting depicting a solitary, ethereal figure wandering amongst a grove of slender trees beneath a pale moonlit sky. Executed in oil on board, the composition is imbued with a dreamlike quality, with delicate branches rendered in soft pinks and mauves contrasting against cool blues and greens in the landscape below. Signed at lower left in red.

Preece has created an atmosphere of mystery and quiet contemplation, using a restrained palette and expressive brushwork to blur the boundaries between the natural and the imagined. The ghostly figure at the centre of the composition appears almost suspended within the landscape, lending the work a poetic and evocative character.
